The state capitol complex in Minneapolis is quite large, as is the building itself:

We walked all the way around the building (and a little ways away from it, as you can see above), but the building was closed the day we visited, and we couldn’t go inside.

Unlike some of the other capitol buildings we have visited, the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City is flooded with natural light:

The skylights were very pleasant and lit the inside of the building nicely.

The House Chamber in the Massachusetts Capitol is very handsome:

It is a very grand and imposing space, perfect for crafting laws in. And then you turn around and see the Sacred Cod…

We didn’t spend a whole lot of time looking at the building from the outside, though, because it was a windy and rainy day – very odd weather for late August!

Both of them are interesting to look at on the outside, but they were closed on the day we visited, so we didn’t get to go in.
